Does Jodi Taub, LCSW, PLLC take insurance?

I am an Out-of-Network Provider.

Why Out-of-Network Coverage?

Because of under market reimbursement rates, a majority of NYC therapists are Out-of-Network providers. This allows you and your provider to dictate care, not the insurance companies.

Does "Out-of-Network" mean no coverage?

Out-of-Network Coverage is a form of insurance coverage. If you have elected for Out-of-Network Coverage, this means that you have Out-of-Network benefits. Typically, Out-of-Network coverage will pay about 10-20% less (on average) than In-Network Coverage once your deductible has been met.

How do I receive insurance reimbursement?

After each session, you will receive an emailed receipt, which you will then send directly to your insurance company. You will pay me directly for the cost of the session (please refer to the Fee Schedule). Once you send in the receipt and any additional information requested by the insurance company, your insurance company will reimburse you directly.  

It is your responsibility to coordinate insurance benefits.  However, I will help you to navigate this process.

Finally, because you are frequently using your insurance benefits, it is likely that you will meet your Out-of-Pocket maximum after 6-8 months, depending on your insurance use. Once you meet your Out-of-Pocket maximum, insurance will reimburse you at a rate of 100%. Although you may pay more Out-of-Pocket coverage initially, once you have met your coverage costs, the plans are usually comparable to In-Network plans.

Payment is due at the time of the session. Please note that I accept Check, Cash, and Chase Direct Pay (i.e. Zelle).

Cancellation Policy

There is a 48-hour cancellation policy. You will be charged for any missed sessions.
